SUN!!

Can you believe the day that it was today?! There are days when it’s really cold and driving rain that I wonder what on earth made me decide to do this, but on days like today, I remember!!

Two fantastic walks today with all my usual suspects – the first up at Drymen which still has a lot of storm damage ie trees down blocking the paths! A very wild walk negotiating our way round them all!
The second at Mugdock which wasn’t nearly as wild as Drymen, but just as much fun!
Hope the sun last for a wee while yet….

Juno and the Mud

Every time I take Juno out, she will generally find the dirtiest bogs and mud that she can find – and in the wilds that I walk, there is generally plenty of that!

Today though, she really did excel by landing face down in an absolutely filthy mud-hole – and for once I managed to get a photo of her!! Normally, Juno bombs about at 100mph and getting a photo of her at the best of times is difficult but today I lured her with a biscuit.
Juno is a really, really great dog and I love her to bits – and she always makes me smile too! 🙂

A warm welcome to our newest member – Maizie

Today I welcomed a new girl into my pack – Maizie the Labradoodle. She was going to start with me at the same time as Max, but as he took a little time to settle into the pack I concentrated on Max first.

As Max is now the perfect pack member, it was time for Maizie to join us – and she was perfect! A little hesitant with the van (but not too bad), very friendly with the other dogs, and completely nuts once I had taken her lead off. Check out the youtube footage of her today to see her in action – hilarious!
The first time I called on her, Maizie instantly shot straight back to me – another Carlsberg dog! How lucky am I?

Two Jack Russell’s

Although I have been walking both my Jack Russell’s for months now, they had never been on the same walk before – and boy, did they have a ball!

Max (the one nearer the camera) always runs about at full pelt, and so does Dexter – but together they were absolutely hilarious. They never once stopped chasing each other about, it was as if all the other dogs weren’t there (Ivy was well put out!)
I laughed at Max and Dexter’s antics so many times today – they will both be very, very tired boys tonight!

Boris

I have now been walking Boris (the vizsla in the photo) for over a year.

In that time he has gone from being the cutest puppy, to a wee bit of a tearaway to the more grown up gorgeous boy he is now.
He has one of the biggest personalities of all the dogs, gets on famously with everyone, adores our walks together and is so excited when I go to pick him up that he is hard to contain!
I laugh out loud at Boris and his antics often and although he can be a tiny bit dominant within my pack, it’s hysterical if I bump into another dog walker with their pack. Most of my pack will go up to the other pack, tails wagging and curious – but where is Boris? Always, always right between my legs HIDING from them – he practically knocks me over in his haste to get to me.
Not so brave then, eh Boris? He is pictured here with a dog that he gets on brilliantly with, Rio the Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Still sunny? What’s going on?!

Two great walks today with all my usual suspects, but what IS unusual is that it has now been sunny every day for nearly two whole weeks!

Yesterday I welcomed back Jackson, who has been away for a wee while, and boy does he LOVE his walks. He leaps straight into the van, is super friendly with all the other dogs, keeps his eye on me the whole time and any time I stop, he come running over to me as if to say “what’s wrong? Why on earth have you stopped?!” Nice to have you back, Jackson. Hope the weather holds for another wee while…………

A warm welcome to our newest member – Odette!

Today we welcomed a new member into the pack – Odette the Basset Bleu de Gascogne. No, I hadn’t heard of them either! Apparently, she’s the only one in Scotland….

She was really super, jumped into the van (which surprised me – nicely!) traveled really well, was super friendly with all the other dogs, LOVED her walk, and the first time that I called “Odette!” she came straight back to me – perfect!
She’s a lovely friendly girl from a loving and caring home – my favourite breed of dog. Welcome Odette, you and I are going to get on just brilliantly!

A lovely warm(er) day!

Two great walks today – the first up at Drymen with Coco, Rusty, Murphy, Herbie, Rudi and Sheulie, and of course Holly and Ivy. I had company this morning of my daughter Sarah, who likes to come with me when she can and I love having company!

This afternoon was at Mugdock Country Park with Laddie and Meg, Boris, Rocco, Milly, Riley, Skye (pictured here) and Juno. Juno’s owners have just bought the most adorable 8 week old Golden Lab (Chilli) and when I go to pick up or drop off Juno I can’t keep my hands off her!! She’s SO GORGEOUS. Really can’t wait till she can come out too…

Herbie’s Holiday

Herbie has been on holiday with me for the last week, and he has been really fabulous. He has loved his walks at Mugdock, Drymen and Queen’s View and back at my house he has been the perfect house guest.

He gets on so well with Holly and Ivy and has really enjoyed being part of my extended family. My kids just love him (me too!) as he is a really lovely, friendly boy.
Herbie does love to have a sleep on my settee, so although I will miss him terribly, I will get a seat again when he goes home!!

A warm welcome to our newest member – Brodie

Today, we welcomed a new member into our pack – Brodie!

He couldn’t have been better – he was only a little unsure about the van – and once up at Mugdock I instantly let him off the lead as I was sure he just wanted to play (and I wasn’t wrong!)
He played really well (but very respectfully) with my well balanced pack and the first time I called him, he instantly ran back to me.
Brodie is a really lovely and friendly boy who traveled well, comes from a loving and caring home, loved his walk and fitted in beautifully! How lucky can I be??
Welcome Brodie, you are a fantastic addition to my wonderful pack!!

Prices start from £15. Contact us to find out more.
