Warm Welcome to our new girl – Molly

A warm welcome to our newest member – Molly the miniature Labradoodle.

She had a great day with a lovely walk round Mugdock and Carbeth accompanied by Holly & Ivy (the Vizslak), Meg & Laddie (the labs) & Alfa (the wire haired German pointer).
She really loved the open countryside, jumping into mud and water whenever she could, and enjoyed the company of the other dogs.
She is a lovely healthy, friendly, well balanced dog which is just the kind I like! (and she travelled well too!!)

Ahhhh, I’ve been so busy…

Sorry, haven’t posted my blog properly last week, just been too busy!! (Good complaint!).

A lovely walk today with all my fav. dogs – Laddie & Meg (the black labs), Jude (the golden lab), Murphy (the cocker spaniel), Skye (the collie) and my own two Vizslak Holly and Ivy.
I LOVE walks like today – sun is shining, the dogs all get on so well & enjoy their walk.
I may not say this when it is -10C in January, but for now I love my job!

Meg’s Ball

Today, Meg found a ball, and although the other dogs (esp. Holly!) tried hard to get it off her, there was no way Meg was giving it up…..really funny.A lovely quiet walk today, with all the dogs playing really nicely – healthy & balanced pack – just the kind I like!

Jude’s Face

Jude, the normally Golden Lab, just loves the muck/bogs/dirt. Today though, he really excelled – he leapt into a bog and landed face down in it…..I managed to persuade him to go in for a nice swim, but nothing would persuade him to put his face under the water…..Sorry Lynne!!

Look at Holly’s face in this photo….she is like “yeuch” – hysterical.
Jude does love his walks, and I love his antics, every time I take him out he makes me smile at something!

Meg found a hat…

A lovely walk today through Drymen’s forest….and today’s find for Meg was a hat, which was a first! She has found gloves, baby toys but never before has she found a hat – and boy! was she pleased with herself! The big black tail wagged every time I said “What have you got there, Meg?”

I love waiting to see what she finds every day.
Boris the Vizsla was a little naughty today, kept wanting to “play” with the other dogs, so spent a lot of our walk on lead. He is entering his teenage years, so a little mischief is to be expected….

Through the forest…

A nice walk today, with the rain staying off! Jude had great fun again today, still totally in love with Ivy….great taste, that boy.

I had the company of Skye today, which I don’t normally on a Friday, but his owner had an exam, so hope all went well, Glenda! Your dog always behaves beautifully.
Looking forward to the long weekend…have a great bank holiday Monday!

My favourite Golden Lab is Back – Jude!!

Hurrah, after being missing from our Wild Walks for nearly 2 weeks, Jude is back….and OMG did that boy LOVE his walk today. He still loves Ivy, but then who could blame him??!!

He ended up in every bit of mud/water/bog that he could find, he nearly rivals Vito when it comes to leaping into the mud – sorry Lynne and Elle!!
Out with us today were Meg and Laddie, the best mannered dog – Skye, My wolf Vito and of course wee Boris (who isn’t so wee anymore – I keep mistaking him for Ivy)
Anyway, Welcome back, Jude! We have all missed you….

Zola and the Moor

A nice walk today over the moor at Mugdock Country Park, with Holly, Ivy and Boris (The Vizslak), Laddie and Meg (the Labs) Pepsi (the Boxer) and our new girl Zola.

Slightly bigger pack than normal as I was assisted by my husband Martin, who is off recovering from knee surgery.
Lovely walk until we decided it was time to go through a gate in the fence, which Zola decided wasn’t for her!! Fun and games as Zola was staying on that moor (and she can definitely run faster than me!!)……still, we all made it back to the van (eventually!!!!)

Drymen today…

A lovely walk through the forest at Drymen, with a great balanced pack of dogs that all get on so well. Laddie and Meg, the black labs always enjoy their walk, and are just the most balanced dogs – lovely! The Vizslak are always a pleasure, though Boris is growing so rapidly it is hard to tell now which one is Ivy and which is Boris, and last but definitely not least is Murphy – such a friendly dog. His tail doesn’t stop wagging from when I pick him up, until I drop him off – I can even hear it banging off the side in the van!!

Meg always finds something to carry….

A lovely walk today around Mugdock Country Park with Holly and Ivy, Laddie and Meg, new girl Zola and Pepsi.

Practically every walk that we go on, Meg (the black Lab in the picture) will find something to carry. It has been hair bobbles, socks, pram toys, but the favourite is definitely gloves!
She finds them near the start of the walk, and will carry them with her the whole way, dropping it when the van is in sight – very funny! I think that she must plank them somewhere that she will remember, so that she can find them again the next time we do that walk! Every day I wait to see what today’s will be!!

Testimonials

Jacqui is the best. Since moving to Glasgow over two years ago, Jacqui has been our dog walker. Our dog absolutely adores Jacqui and can’t wait to see her every day. Jacqui really loves the dogs she walks and it is like he is going to an extended part of our family. I couldn’t ask for more. Jacqui is reliable, works 24-7. So helpful and couldn’t do more for us. I think it is so important to have a dog walker you can trust, I have been lucky to find someone like Wild Side Walks, as choosing a dog walker is so important as they take one of your family members out and I need to know they are safe, comfortable and happy. That’s a service that is provided every time with Wild Side Walks.
