What has happened to Ted?

Uneventful morning walk, then out with me this afternoon were Laddie & Meg, Zola, Rocco, Lily and Ted.

Up ’til now, Ted (the Golden Lab in the photo) has been very calm,would just plod along with me enjoying the wilds that I walk.
I don’t know if its just that he is getting more comfortable round me, but today he was like a different dog. He was racing Laddie for sticks, and when he won them he would have a maddie with his stick (see the youtube footage – hysterical!). If he didn’t win them, he would dive and get stones from the bottom of Deil’s Crag Dam (even funnier), and he even decided that he wanted to play with Meg and her stick – never a great idea to try and get Meg’s possessions from her!
I laughed so many times today at Ted’s antics – he is hysterical!

Dry at Drymen!

A nice, almost sunny, walk today out at Drymen. With me today were Holly & Ivy, Jude, Skye, Meg & Laddie, Jura and last, but not least, Rudi.

Very quiet going through the forest and then we did a big circle back onto the West Highland Way where we met some German walkers.
They were soo taken with Rudi, I think they were keen to dognap him (even enticing him with some of their lunch!). Eventually, I did have to lift him off the lap of one of them, saying “I know he’s really cute, but hand over the dog!”

A new pack member – Dexter

This afternoon we welcomed a new member to our Wild Side Pack – Dexter the Jack Russell.

He instantly fitted in with the rest of the dogs, particularly Lily. I don’t know if it was because they are a similar size, but Dexter and Lily had a BLAST today, playing tig on the moor at full pelt!
I let him off lead within 5 minutes as I could tell he was just eager to get playing with the rest of the dogs, and the first time I called him he came straight back – Perfect!!
A lovely friendly dog, from caring home – my favourite kind! Welcome Dexter, I know we are going to get on just great!

Two walks today!

Two great walks today with the best dogs ever. Morning walk with Holly & Ivy, Jude, Rudi (who spent most of it being carried inside my jacket!), Murphy and Jura. The afternoon walk was with Zola, Boris, Skye, Ted and Rocco. A real pleasure to walk all these dogs, my Carlsberg pack is expanding!

A warm welcome to a new pack member – Jura. He couldn’t have been any better- super friendly, loved the walk and travelled really well. He is only with me for 10 days as he is on holiday just now in Bearsden, but already I wish it was longer!

A very wet walk today with Holly & Ivy, Jude, Monty, Jura and Rudi. Poor Rudi hated the rain and started shivering within 5 minutes. He spent the next 25 minutes inside my jacket, which he had NO problem with. He was looking regally down at the rest of the pack, while getting carried along…….things that I do!!
PS I did buy a new camera, but after the rain today, I think I should have bought an underwater one!!

Great Pack of Dogs

With me today were Holly & Ivy, Rudi (in the photo), Jude, Juno, Monty, Lily and last but not least, Ted.

I did have a bit of a disaster, I was standing on the rocks at the edge of Deil’s Crag Dam trying to get some video footage of the two identical labs Jude & Ted racing for a stick (very funny), when I dropped my camera.
I watched as it dropped onto the stone, then it slipped down right into the water – never to be seen again.
Oh well, time for a new one anyway! Until I get my new camera though, I may not be able to post current photos – Sorry!

A very warm welcome to our newest Wild Side Walks member – Ted the Golden Lab. He jumped straight into the van, travelled really well, was off lead the entire walk (coming back instantly I called him), got on really well with all the rest of the pack, instantly making friends with them all. He comes from a loving and caring home, so yet another Carlsberg dog to add to my pack! Welcome Ted, I know that you are going to LOVE our walks together!

I can’t wait to walk him with my other Golden Lab Jude – he is SOO like him. From the way that he

interacts with the other dogs, to his other mannerisms with me (very friendly!) and the way
that he walks and loves to swim, I think the first time they walk together, Jude will be like “DAD!” 🙂

Wild Side Dogs can walk on water….

A great walk today with Holly & Ivy, Gigha & Cara, Skye, Jude and Boris.

Jude, Skye & Boris have all been missing for a couple of weeks due to illness, holidays and other commitments but they all were SOOO pleased to see each other and the rest of the pack. Boris was running about like crazy, nearly rivalling Jude! Skye, as always just loves the walk and the company of the rest of the dogs. I am so pleased to have my boys back I was nearly as excited as them when I picked them all up!
Isn’t this photo hysterical?? It does look like Holly can walk on water (which all the Wild Side Pack of dogs obviously do in my book!!!)

Five girls and a boy…

A lovely walk today with Holly & Ivy, Molly, Monty, Lily and Juno. These dogs all get on so well together – it’s lovely to see them playing.

Particularly funny is when Monty and Lily team up for a little runabout….Little & Large comes to mind!!
Molly comes on my Wild Side Walks once every two weeks, and she always loves it, but today she seemed to have a blast! Running like wildfire on the moor, to playing “Tig” with Lily and Ivy and jumping into lots of mud. I think she’ll be a tired girl tonight (I know I am!)
