The reformed character – Zola

Sorry that I haven’t properly posted my blog this week – I have just been so busy. Lots of enquiries to deal with……it’s a good complaint.

Lots of amazing walks this week with all my usual suspects. I have to comment though that the biggest change I have ever seen in a dog since starting my business has to be Zola. She was unsure, a little fearful, didn’t trust me, would bark when I went to collect her and would run away from me given the chance.
In less than a month when I open her door I am greeted with a dog standing wagging her tail, she jumps straight in the van and is off lead for the entire walk. She interacts with the whole pack (though I have to say that she LOVES my dogs Holly & Ivy), and frequently runs back to me just for a pat and a “you are such a clever girl, Zola”.
Definite favourite pack member now!

The Black & Tan Walk

It seemed like today only dogs which were all black or tan were allowed!! This picture shows Meg & Laddie (black labs) Holly & Ivy (Vizslak) and Zola (the Ridgeback). Just out of the picture are Boris (Vizsla) and Murphy (an all black cocker Spaniel).

Have a look at today’s you tube mpeg to see them all…
Great walk today, with all the dogs really enjoying themselves, and I loved the sun!! Long may it last…

Meg & the sock

Meg always finds something to carry, and today it was a sock. I love waiting to see what it is she finds!

Joining the pack today we had Laddie, Meg and Jude (the Labs), Boris, Holly & Ivy (the Vizslak) Skye (the collie) and Vito (the Wolf).
Have a look at today’s you tube upload and you can see Vito doing a grand impression of a hippo…hysterical!

Two walks today….

First walk of the day was with Holly & Ivy, Boris, Gigha & Cara and Marshall. Marshall found a huge stick which he then carried for about half an hour – he will be a tired boy tonight!

Second walk was with Holly & Ivy, Laddie & Meg and Zola. Both walks I took the dogs to Deil’s Crag Dam on Dumbrock Moor, so that they could go for a swim and cool down – Laddie in particular LOVES it – I swear that boy could swim for hours.
Zola had a great walk again, she has made so much progress in such a short space of time….what a clever girl!

Two walks today…

First walk today with Holly & Ivy, Boris, Gigha & Cara and finally Marshall. Marshall found a huge stick and he then carried it for about half an hour….he must be exhausted!

Second walk with Holly & Ivy, Laddie & Meg and Zola

Laddie, Meg & Boris all back from Holidays!

The labs, Laddie & Meg and Boris the Vizsla were all back today on their Wild Side Walk. I had missed them all, and it was strange not to have Laddie’s bell in the background – eerily quiet going through parts of the forest!

So glad all my dogs are back, with the bell!
Making up the pack were Holly & Ivy, Jude and Skye. Great walk today over Dumbrock Moor and back through the forest. Hope the rain stops soon…

A Breakthrough day for Zola!

A great walk today in Drymen with Holly and Ivy, Murphy, Skye and Zola.

Zola has been a little unsure until today, then SUCCESS – she decided that she was going to enjoy her walk. She was off lead for the entire walk, and stayed and interacted with the other pack members the whole time. Ivy and Zola had lots of fun running about…lots of play bows going on! I am so pleased . Welcome to my pack Zola, where we always have fun!

A lovely walk with a new pack member – Marshall!

Sun is shining still – hurrah!

A lovely walk over Dumbrock Moor with all the dogs enjoying a long swim and cool down at the loch.
New boy Marshall absolutely LOVED his walk – he ran about constantly for the whole time – he will be exhausted tonight!!
Missing Boris….and Laddie & Meg….definitely feels odd to walk without them, but they’ll all be back soon enough!
Hope the sun keeps shining!

Sun!!

A lovely walk today with a group of the friendliest dogs you could find – Laddie, Meg & Jude (the labs), Pepsi (the boxer), Zola (the ridgeback) & my own two dogs Holly & Ivy (the vizslak). We stopped on many occasions to cool down (great complaint!!) and all the dogs enjoyed a swim at the loch on the moor.

If only every day were like this….

Testimonials

First of all Jacqui is a dog lover and has a fantastic attachment to all her dogs. She first took one of our dogs almost 10 years ago and he absolutely loved going with Jacqui. He was always at the door waiting excitedly for her because he always got a good long walk in lots of interesting wild places. We have never regretted using Wild Side Walks and would recommend her to anyone. Professional, reliable, trustworthy – Jacqui knows and understands dogs and their needs (a real live dog whisperer ?). She is absolutely brilliant, can’t thank her enough.
