Welcome to our newest Wild Side member – Zola!

A great big “Welcome” today to the newest member of our pack – Zola the Rhodesian Ridgeback. She was a little unsure about getting into the van, but once up in the familiar territory of Mugdock, she loved her walk.

She travelled really well in the van, and got on fine with the other dogs – Holly and Boris (the Vizslak), Laddie and Meg (the Labs) and the most beautiful & friendly Cocker Spaniel ever – Murphy.
A nice walk across Drumclog Moor, and then back through the forest, with the only the slightest bit of drizzle…summer is just around the corner!

Vito waiting for salmon?

A lovely sunny walk today over the Moor at Mugdock Country park. Vito was very disappointed as there was hardly any mud as it has been dry for a few days now (shouldn’t speak too soon…), so found it difficult to get his usual mud bath. He did find plenty of water and streams though! He looked at one stage like he was waiting to catch a fish!!

Also with the Wild Crew today were Boris, and the 2 black labs – Laddie and Meg.

Murphy Returns….

A lovely walk today with Holly and Boris (the Vizslak), Laddie and Meg (the Labs) and Gemma and Murphy (the Cocker Spaniels). Murphy hasn’t been on a Wild Side Walk for a week, and he couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The big black tail wagged constantly for 2 hours! Nice to have you back, Murphy.

All the dogs got on really well, with Boris always posing, every time the camera came out! Such a Star.
Missing my Golden Lab and his antics, Get Well Soon, Jude.

A Sleepover….

A nice sunny walk through the forest at Drymen yesterday with Skye and Molly coming back with me for a sleepover!

It was the first time either of them have stayed, and they were perfect house guests!
Holly and Ivy thought that Christmas had come early when I didn’t drop off Skye and Molly at their respective houses, but came to their house!!
Once the initial excitement was over, all 4 dogs settled down really nicely for an evening of comfy beds and bones….
A lovely relaxing walk today over Drumclog Moor, with these 4 dogs now being firm friends (that’s what happens when you share nicely.)

Mugdock Country Park.

Vito was particularly manky today, sorry Elle. He just LOVES every bit of mud, dirt, water that he can find. It can be bone dry for miles and then there will be one little bog and guess who is straight in!!

Wee Boris didn’t quite know what to make of Vito, Vizsla’s tend to be very clean dogs, so he kept staring at him every time Vito plunged neck deep into another bog, as if to say “WHAT are you DOING???” Very Funny….
The two black labs Laddie & Meg just love their walk every day, and today was no different….and Skye, as always, was the perfect gentleman!
Holly still missing Ivy, I don’t think she is quite sure of why it is only her that comes out in the van now, with poor Ivy left behind…

Beautiful Day

If only the weather was like this every day! Absolutely beautiful day, with Holly and Boris, Laddie and Meg and last but not least Gemma. Definitely strange to walk without Ivy, but it is only for a short time ’til she is fully better. Ivy, of course, doesn’t think that there is anything wrong and cannot understand why I would take Holly out for a walk and leave her behind! Poor Ivy….

Great Pack of Dogs

Another lovely walk today with Laddie & Meg – the 2 black labs, Jude – the golden lab, Gemma – the cocker spaniel and Holly & Boris – The Vizslak. Missing today was my own dog Ivy, who was in to get spayed. Poor Ivy, she was very sorry for herself when I picked her up at the vets this afternoon.

However, as she will never be used to breed, it is the responsible thing to do – she just doesn’t know it! She will have a much healthier life, and will not be distracted by other desires, so will be much more balanced!
It was weird without her, and poor Jude couldn’t understand where she was….he looked everywhere for her, and kept running up to Holly as if to say “where is the other one that looks just like you?!” She will be back soon enough……

Summer has arrived….

you can tell because I have my shorts on!

What a great walk…summer has arrived. Today I had 3 Vizslak- Holly, Ivy and Boris, and 3 Labs – Laddie, Meg (in the photo) and Jude.

Over Drumclog Moor which was stunning with the Campsie Fells in the background bathed in sunshine (instead of snow as they were for months!!).
Hope the sun stays for a while!

The Wolf Returns

Hurrah!!! After a couple of weeks break, Vito is back. He doesn’t find Ivy quite as alluring as he used too…..but OMG did he love his walk! Every bit of water, bog, mud…he lay down in it! He got on really well with all the dogs, including the new dogs he hadn’t met before-Laddie, Meg and Boris. All the dogs had a great walk……Mugdock Country Park is soooo good!

Nice to have you back, big V!!
I have missed you…

A huge welcome to 2 new members of my Wild Side Pack – Laddie and Meg (the black labs in the photo). They couldn’t have fitted in better, instantly making friends with all the other dogs. Beautiful natures, great travellers, friendly, balanced, well cared for dogs – just the kind I like!!

A bigger pack than normal today as I had the company of my husband Martin, son Adam and daughter Sarah as it is the Easter Holidays from School and work…

Prices start from £15. Contact us to find out more.
