A warm welcome to our newest member – Ellie

Today, I welcomed a new girl into the pack – Ellie. She was a little unsure about the van (nothing unusual there!) but still traveled really well.

Once up at Mugdock, I let her off the lead within about two minutes as she was dying to get in amongst the other dogs.
She played beautifully and very respectfully with all the others, she was super friendly and the first time I called “Ellie!” she instantly shot back to me.
Ellie is a beautiful girl, with a nature to match and comes from a loving and caring home – my favourite kind of dog! Yet another Carlsberg dog – how lucky can I be??
Welcome Ellie, you and I are going to get along just perfectly!

Vince and Holly

On the most beautiful day of the year (so far, fingers crossed!) I spent ages at Abbe’s Loch – as all the dogs just loved it!

A fabulous morning walk with great dogs that just LOVE the wilds that I walk, and just as fab this afternoon with another pack up at Drymen which is now clear of the forestry works which have been there for weeks – hurrah!
In the photo are my dog Holly with her (half) brother Vince. They have got on SO well, and Vince just bounced into the van this morning – he obviously now does realise what’s at the end of the van journey!

Vince

Today we welcomed a new Vizsla in to the pack (even if it is just for a few days!)

I am walking Vince while his owners are away sunning themselves, and I’m delighted to have him. He wasn’t too sure about the van (very few are to start with!) but he is great out on the walks. Super friendly and sociable and first time I called “Vince!” he instantly ran back to me, but best of all he is Holly’s brother!! (well, half brother, but you know!)
Shame you are only with us all for a few days, Vince – I could get used to another Carlsberg dog!

More snow….really?

Glad I didn’t change the winter tyres off my van yet!

The snow is actually quite deep up at Mugdock – thought I had seen the last of the snow but obviously not!!

Great walks today with all my usual suspects, but I have to say that Coco is very pleased that the snow hasn’t gone yet – she absolutely loves it!!

Spring??!

There is something I haven’t seen for a while….dogs in swimming at Abbe’s Loch! I have been avoiding the loch for months now as it has been frozen solid but today, it was beautiful.

All the dogs that love to swim were delighted to go back to the loch, and even those who don’t tend to swim enjoyed a paddle.
In the photo are Boris and Ivy who loved racing for a stick, and then fighting over who would bring it back to me (looks like Ivy is winning!)

A warm welcome to our newest member – Monty!

Today I welcomed another new member into my pack of dogs – Monty (a Cocker Spaniel/Tibetan Terrier cross) seen here giving Coco a kiss! (well she is beautiful!)

He was absolutely great, bounced into the van, traveled really well, was off lead within 2 minutes of starting the walk and played and interacted really well with the other dogs (although he loves Coco and Ivy!) First time I called for him, he instantly shot back to me – perfect! Yet another Carlsberg dog to add to my pack……

Two new Wild Side Walkers – Ghillie and Milly!

Today I welcomed two new dogs in to my pack – the first was Ghillie (the Golden Retriever), and the second was Milly (the Black Labrador). Ghillie was on the morning walk and was on the lead for about five minutes. He was so keen to play with the rest of the pack that I let him off lead and he was wonderful. He played beautifully (and respectfully) with the other dogs, really enjoyed his walk (on THE most beautiful day of the year so far) and the first time I called “Ghillie” he instantly ran back to me – perfect!

This afternoon I welcomed Milly, who again was on lead for about two minutes and then let her off…..she played and interacted beautifully with my well balanced pack of dogs, and the first time I called for her she instantly ran back to me!
How lucky can a dog walker be? Two beautiful dogs, both playing really well and LOVING their walk, and both are from loving and caring homes (my favourite kind!). Welcome to Ghillie and Milly – there is no doubt….. We are going to get along famously.

Max!

In this photo are my dog Holly and Max (a Parsons Jack Russell).

I have been walking Max for a couple of months now, but he started off a little nervous and fearful and the only time that he was off lead he made a break for freedom (not a great day!!)
However, steadily since then, his confidence has increased with each walk and until today I haven’t dared let him off the lead, then SUCCESS!! Max was off lead for the whole walk, he played and interacted with the whole pack beautifully, and the first time I called on him he instantly shot back to me.
Happy Days 🙂 Welcome to the pack, Max, where we always have lots of fun!!
PS He just LOVES Holly – excellent taste that boy!

More Snow….Arrghhh!!

I thought it had gone, but I was walking today when it started snowing….

Two fabulous walks with some of the best dogs ever..
This morning out with me were Holly and Ivy, Rusty, Coco, Murphy, Lucy, Herbie and Digby…and this afternoon – Boris, Laddie and Meg, Riley, Juno, Rocco, Buddy and Skye.
I really love days like today, no worrying about the dogs wandering, or not getting on with each other…just great dogs that so enjoy their walk and the wide open spaces that Mugdock Country Park has to offer……….

Sun at last!

Two great walks today, both up at Mugdock Country Park. This mornings walk was absolutely fantastic with a pack of dogs that just love the company and love the walk.

This afternoon was equally as great and the sun even started shining!
Juno really excelled today by landing face down in the dirtiest bog you’ve ever seen but none of the photos that I took of her really worked out – a black lab, covered in mud and running about at 100mph doesn’t really make for the best photo. Shame though, she had me in stitches!!

Testimonials

Jacqui is the best. Since moving to Glasgow over two years ago, Jacqui has been our dog walker. Our dog absolutely adores Jacqui and can’t wait to see her every day. Jacqui really loves the dogs she walks and it is like he is going to an extended part of our family. I couldn’t ask for more. Jacqui is reliable, works 24-7. So helpful and couldn’t do more for us. I think it is so important to have a dog walker you can trust, I have been lucky to find someone like Wild Side Walks, as choosing a dog walker is so important as they take one of your family members out and I need to know they are safe, comfortable and happy. That’s a service that is provided every time with Wild Side Walks.
