The Calmest Walk…ever!

Up at Drymen today, with probably the calmest walk I have ever done. Monty (the Bouncer!) really doesn’t like other dogs are having a “carry-on”, and will run between them and separate the nonsense!

Boris felt his presence many times today, the carry-on is over for you, Boris – at least when The Bouncer is on the same walk!
It is so difficult now to tell the Vizslas (Vizslak for the purists) apart, I bet even Boris’s owners would be hard pushed to tell which one was their boy from this photo!

Mugdock Country Park, without the rain…

After the downpour yesterday, it was lovely to walk up at Mugdock with the sun shining again!

Great walks today with all my usual suspects. Don’t you just love this photo?
Big Monty (the Newfoundland) watches the carry-on of Ivy & Murphy fighting over a stick, obviously keeping a watchful eye that it doesn’t get too out of hand. If it does, Monty will separate them by standing in between them – lovely for me!
Also look at wee Buddy next to him – Little & Large does come to mind!

How cute am I?

Buddy came with the pack today along part of the West Highland Way which was like Sauchiehall Street! Lots and lots of walkers and at least half a dozen cyclists.

Buddy is so friendly that everyone that walked passed us, he HAD to run up to, to say “How cute am I?”
Of course, between him and Rudi you can hardly get moving when there are lots of other people about, as all you get is “AWWW, he’s so cute…what age is he?”
Mind you, every time I pick up Rudi or Buddy, my first reaction is always “awww…you are SO cute!”

Two Golden Labs – Jed

How alike are these two Labs? The one with the ear flapping is Jude (perpetual motion) and the other is Ted. I tried for ages to get them together for a photo, and although Ted sat in front of me for 5 minutes waiting patiently, trying to get Jude to stop running about like a maddy was near impossible – this is the closest that I came to getting them together….

Both dogs have the same mannerisms, and way that they interact with the rest of the pack. The only slight difference that I can see is that Jude is slightly lighter in colour.
Do you think I should swap collars and see if anyone notices???

A warm welcome to our newest member – Jackson!

Today we welcomed a new boy into our pack – Jackson The Labradoodle. It was his very first walk, and the weather could have been kinder to us – although it didn’t seem to bother Jackson one bit!

He was a little unsure about the van, but he LOVED the walk, instantly making friends with all the other dogs. He is friendly, obedient, fun, well behaved, came back immediately I called for him – yet another Carsberg dog to add to my expanding pack!
Welcome Jackson, you and I are going to get on really well!

Happy Birthday Rocco!

A lovely walk today with Holly & Ivy, Jude, Rudi, Monty, Pepsi, Skye and last but not least Rocco!

We had a fab time, but Rocco especially loves swimming so as it is his birthday, I gave him a special treat – ages at the water!
Happy Birthday Rocco – one today!

Drymen

With me today were Holly & Ivy, Ted, Murphy, Juno, Skye, Vito and special guest – Ludo.

Ludo is a American Hairless Terrier, one of only seventy in the UK, and comes all the way from London.
His owners are in Scotland for a wedding, and chose me to look after him for a couple of days. I am honoured!
Ludo is a lovely dog, loves the company of the rest of the pack, travels well and is no bother at all………hope your owners come back again some day, Ludo!

The Bouncer

The Newfoundland in the centre of this photo is Monty, but I call him The Bouncer. He really doesn’t like it when there isn’t absolute peace and calm, with all the dogs just enjoying the walk. If Ivy & Holly start a carry-on with each other (fairly regular occurrence!), he runs at them both and stands in between them until they have calmed down. It’s like he is saying “Now, come on, that’s enough of that carry-on. Let’s just enjoy the walk” He is big enough that even Ivy listens!

Thank you, Monty – you make for a very calm and peaceful walk! 🙂

It’s Sunny!

I love my job on days like today! Might not be quite so enthusiastic when it is -5C in January but for now – definitely!

All the dogs that came with me today are so great and just LOVE the Wilds that I Walk – Jude, Murphy, Rudi, Juno, Ted, Rocco and Jura. It was Jura’s last walk with me today as he has had his holiday in Bearsden and is going home 🙁
Hope you come back soon, Jura, you have been a pleasure to walk.
Keep your fingers crossed this weather lasts….at least for a while.

Testimonials

I cannot recommend Jacqui and Wild Side walks highly enough. It is a shame that my boxer Lucy can’t give the review as she just loves her! Lucy jumps up as soon as I say jacqui’s names, runs to her van and comes back happy and tired. Also usually muddy, which is a sign of a good adventure walk! I started using Jacqui when I moved to the area. I was careful about who I picked as I have had some bad experiences in the past – you really do need to do your homework when picking a dog walking company – but Jacqui and Wild Side walks have been fantastic ??‍?
